Our mission is to protect people and enhance lives. We do this by providing an array of public health solutions to ensure that our customers are safe in their living and working environments.
We believe our ambition for environmental leadership and our plan to deliver net zero carbon emissions globally by the end of 2040 is not only the right thing to do, but will create a higher quality, more efficient and differentiated business.
Our environment plan will be delivered through our country operations, built around three core pillars: Sustainable solutions, Sustainable operations and Sustainable workplaces, with eight workstreams to provide specialist support and share best practice.
Providing customers with a range of market-leading services that set new standards for sustainability.
Delivering higher-quality and more efficient operations that reduce our impact on the environment. Key areas include the transition to an ultra-low emission vehicle fleet, working with our product and chemical suppliers and reducing waste.
Providing colleagues with sustainable workplaces that use renewable energy and encourage colleagues to play their part in being more sustainable at work and at home.
For Rentokil Boecker®, sustainability means delivering our products and services responsibly and protecting the environment. We are committed to our alignment with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals by reducing emissions and using natural resources to develop environmentally friendly products and processes.
Rentokil Boecker® is part of Rentokil Initial whose Global research and development centre is at the forefront of pest control innovation, developing and testing the latest pest control solutions to support businesses across the globe. Sustainability risks for critical suppliers are identified and managed by the Global product quality manager, whilst local issues are addressed by Quality managers and the local procurement team.
The Global research and development centre based in the UK, ensures that the pesticides we use meet public regulations for all markets. Hardware and equipment is validated to ensure compliance to local regulations, which includes the verification of second and third-tier sources of components. The Global research and development centre also drives industry-leading innovations for commercial pest control, developing products that improve the safety of pesticides as well as chemical-free, non-toxic treatments.
To find better ways to prevent, detect and target infestations, wherever possible using non-toxic treatments. Rentokil Boecker is firmly committed to reducing the use of harmful chemicals in pest control. With an expanding range of non-toxic options, new proofing products and digitally connected solutions, our expert technicians can advise on the best approach for you.
To deliver our services and design every new innovation we bring to market with sustainability firmly in mind. Rentokil Boecker is constantly innovating to bring to market new products that enable effective pest control with less environmental impact. We’re applying our expertise to outsmart pests with more energy efficient and recyclable solutions that use fewer resources and are less reliant on chemicals.
To look at all aspects of our operations, workplaces and supply chain, working with our people to build a culture of sustainability, where we’re proactively taking measures to reduce our emissions. Rentokil Boecker is putting sustainability at the heart of everything we do. Whether it’s transitioning to electric vehicles across our fleet, switching to green energy tariffs across our properties or choosing to source from sustainable suppliers, we’re taking proactive steps to deliver on our net zero commitments.
To measure and reduce the waste we generate as a business to zero landfill and incineration, while increasing the use of recycled materials in our products and across our operations. Rentokil Boecker is committed to reducing the environmental impact from waste. Our goal is for 100% of our waste material to be reused, recycled or repurposed for conversion into energy by 2035. To ensure full accountability, we’ve also put in place plans to better measure our waste across our major markets. We’re already making real progress, for instance, actively increasing battery recycling across our operations.
To build long-term partnerships that support greater biodiversity and positively benefit the environment for future generations. As a leader in global pest control, Rentokil Boecker recognises the importance of acting responsibly - using our resources, scale and influence - to proactively protect the environment. That’s why we’ve established relationships with climate change charities and communities across the world to support their work in preventing deforestation, promoting biodiversity and fighting the climate crisis.
